Very nicely written and I am happy to find our views are identical!
Nothing to beat the Udipi.
I have eaten all over and everywhere, from the streets of Mumbai to the frozen and thawed foods at the deluxe hotels.
Nothing to beat the Udipi.
My favourite is still Ramakrishna at Vile Parle!
Eat what you want and for a meal for four nothing more than Rs.400/ max, with food served in three minuts of order and with that friendly smile and care.
Cheers to Udipi and the Shettys'!
May their tribe grow.
Very, very SAD! But then, it happens.
Call him for a meal at one of Delhi's poshest eating houses, and at the last moment send him an SMS, saying " Sorry..."
I don't even know you, but sitting here, I am feeling miserable.

"SABHAASH" for this.
I enjoyed it.
Thanks
Well scribed!

India played badly. Pakistan played worse.
The way Bhajji bowled was totally irresponsible, giving them full tosses to be lofted for sixes, while our collective hearts here were beaing away overtime!

I am glad that Bengal still retains many of its traditions unlike other parts of India which have 'bollywoodised' all festivals, making them disgusting.
But then, that is Bengal for you, where even Tollywood has retained the flavour and culture of Bengal.
May that beautiful Bengal ever flourish
